Early in May it was time for one of my travels to Austin for a set of research meetings. I travel to Austin often, so the route is well-known. Every now and again, I find something interesting to photograph. In the spring it's often wildflowers. But, this spring there aren't many wildflowers because the fall rains never came. Nonetheless, I found a few interesting subjects along U.S. 183 on my way to Austin to stop. The trip is documented on my
