On the way from Houston to Beaumont on 19 April 2006, I was looking for an image for the
Photo Scavenger Hunt. It was also hot and I was looking for a break from the road. I saw the Wallisville Lake site and immediately decided to stop. These images are from my brief exploration of the rookery.
One of the things I noticed is that a lot of trash was left behind by other visitors. No, not in the receptacles, but out on the lake. That lack of care upsets me greatly.
