I feel a redesign coming on. Fall is here and the onset of winter approaches. I’ve been using the blue-schema for several months and I think it’s time to reflect the change of the season.
I tend to go with opposites—cool in the summertime to remind me of cool winter days; warm in the winter to remind me of the sun on my face. I was just puttering around in my banner-image bin and I have a couple of banner images pre-built that will work fine. Now I’ll just have to settle in and work up the rest of the color scheme. Maybe I’ll do that one night this week.
I created a feedburner account to help me keep track of who’s watching. Yes, I’m a little vain. I like to know how many folks read what I write and I like to know a bit about where they come from.
Way back when I used to run a dial-in BBS I could tell when someone called in and used the system. Sometimes I would look over their shoulder (so to speak) and watch what there were doing. It was fascinating.
I can’t do that with the weblog, but I can track the number of hits and the referrals through the host and through Sitemeter. I’m always curious about how people get here and how long they stay. Maybe that feeds some hidden need I have for validation. Who knows…
It was hot here in Lubbock today—100F—so I didn’t even leave the house. Work comes again tomorrow and it will be a busy week, I’m sure.
Well, I made a few changes to the design. We’ll see how they set after a few days.

— Justin 28 September 2005, 16:33 #:) The moon header was one of my images worked over with a little Photoshop. This image is also one of mine, made early in the morning down near San Angelo while I was on the way for a meeting.
— ruminator 28 September 2005, 16:43 #I’ll change the design again in a few months. I get tired of looking at the same thing all the time, plus it gives me a chance to exercise a little creativity.
