Blogging for Pay?

Over at Wired I came across an article on blogging for pay. I guess I’m a bit lagged, because this is the first I’ve heard of professional bloggers.
Well, that’s not quite right… I knew that a few commercial enterprises employed bloggers, well writers, to maintain the corporate blogs. But I hadn’t realized there are blogs not associated with a commercial venture out there who have paid bloggers. It’s an interesting idea.
I would love it if I could derive enough income from this effort to support myself. I could use the remaining time to work on my other pet projects.
It ain’t gonna happen. I don’t have near the traffic to generate the advertising income necessary to make this a paying proposition. It is an interesting thought, though.
