Looking at Vehicles

Posted Sun Feb 13, 2005 in

Daughter and family may be stationed in Alaska for their next tour. It is not a sure thing, yet. But, they are starting to prepare for another move, at least in terms of thinking about big things.

They think that their two-wheel drive pickup truck will not be effective in an area with significant snow. So, they are contemplating purchase of a all-wheel drive vehicle.

Enter dad…

We drove around some of the car lots this afternoon, looking at the vehicles that are available. We found a number of candidates and Daughter will have some work to do now, making phone calls and determining what is in their price range.

Then there will be another round of trips to check out the vehicles and see which ones are really worth considering. I am sure that I will be in on that exercise too. :)

All in all, it has been another good day. I like hanging out with my kids.

Later: I forgot to mention that the weather was much better today. The sun came out this morning and the sky was as blue as it gets here in west Texas. The sun was a real lift to my spirit.
