New PowerMac Dual G5

I’ve just completed the initial set up the PowerMac that I bought with end-of-year funds. It’s my current desktop and my time is now split between Mac OS-X, Winders Tablet-PC, and Linux. I’ve still got plenty of software to install, but that’s OK.
It will take me a few more days to get everything up and running. Now I’ll be able to transport my portable drives back and forth from the house with all of my music and documents on them and there won’t be any problems keeping things synchronized between the home office and the office-office any longer.
I’ll be really interested in seeing just what this machine can do. I’ve been fanatic about dual-processor hardware for a long time. Now I’ve got an excellent opportunity to test Apple’s offering.
I’ll be posting more later on as I learn how the system behaves and performs.
